I was hoping this site had a recipe link... or 'here's the secret to X's wings"... Also... if you're talking Ohio Valley Wings... then you need to mention The Alpha.

    My List...
    1 - Drover's Inn
    2 - no one close
Tied for runner up... - The Alpha and 19th Hole.

All others.... skip, and go back to 1.

Found your site from the comments section of another article on CNN.com. Another comment mentioned Cluck-U chicken in Newark, DE as the best. They were good. I had them but they've been closed for a few years now. I am a wing lover and the best I've ever had is from a bar in State College, PA called Stoney's. Unfortunately, they're closed too so I have to throw a shout out to my next favorite. The Gingerbread Man is another bar in Happy Valley. The wings are sooo good I've driven 3 hours there and back just for a day trip visit to check out the town and get those wings!

Try the wings at William Penn Tavern in Pittsburgh, PA, located in Shadyside. They have 40 cent wings/4 days a week.

Drovers has to be the best place in the valley for wings... no question.
When I was younger I used to be there at least once a week, now am lucky to get there once or twice a month. The whole 20+ mile drive from Wheeling weighs on you after awhile.

However, I found a place in Martins Ferry that has decent wings, but only on Monday nights (4-11pm). It's the PNA (Polish National Alliance) club (542 Spence Lane Martins Ferry, OH 43935).

I recommend the Cajun Hot, but they have a pretty good mix of flavors available dry and wet including Jack Daniels BBQ and Garlic Parm.

I'd be interested to see what others think of the PNA's wings. So if you're up for it check them out on a Monday night.

They take "eat in" orders over the phone, and I highly recommend you call ahead, a few hours should do, just tell them when you'll be there.
They get really busy around 5pm, so if you don't call, the wait can be pretty long...sometimes up to an hour. (740-633-2832)

They do have Yuengling on tap though, and they sell it in pitchers for $4.25, so waiting isn't that big of a deal.

    P.S.
They have fries too. They aren't anything to rave about, but they're usually crispy and hot. Gotta have something to dip in the extra wing sauce anyway right?

Glory Days Grill has some very good wings. If you're ever in MD/VA/WV (Charles Town), hit them up.

I enjoy your site - keep up the good work!

Also: Pizza Hut (aka Wingstreet). Wing wednesdays (traditional, none of this crispy bone-in/bone-out) + buffalo hot + carry out == Victory. Surprising, I know.

You need to try Zalenski Family Eatery & Pub. Seriously the best wings of all time!! It is located in Wintersville and every Wednesday night they have a wing night where wings are $0.45 each and come in an order of 5. It is totally worth the drive up there to chow down on these wings and there enough flavor choices to suit any palate. Personally, I travel 45 minutes at least twice a month to get my wing fix! A MUST TRY!
